comprising: three chuban prints, attributed to Suzuki Harunobu: a couple smoking, unsigned; a man seeing a woman off at the gate, inscribed Suzuki Harunobu; ladies changing shoji door panels, inscribed Suzuki Harunobu; a chuban print of a lady writing, signed Suzuki Harunobu; an oban print with three courtesans of Tamaya and an attendant, signed Bunkyo Sakuragawa; a chuban print of a lady with an umbrella in the rain, signed Toyohiro ga (Utagawa Toyohiro); an oban print titled Edo Meisho Hyakunin bijo ('Notable Places with One Hundred Beauties'), by Toyokuni III and Kunihisa, signed Toyokuni ga; a chuban print of a noble lady dreaming, unsigned; a chuban print of Koka Mutamagawa from the Mu-Tamagawa ('Six Jewel Rivers') series, signed Hiroshige (Utagawa Hiroshige); an unsigned print of a noble lady sleeping. Condition

The paper of each print has been burnt but the prints are still in fair condition. The Hiroshige print has a worm hole and some creases to the lower part. The print of a lady dreaming has a small area of some worm holes and has been repaired on the proper left. The prints by or attributed to Harunobu have slight fading to the colors and some soiling to the paper, and the print of the smokers has darkened areas in the proper upper right corner. The print of three courtesans is faded and the paper has darkened. The Toyohiro print is slightly soiled. Note: the prints were not removed from the frames for inspection.
