Condition

Overall in very good condition. The pewter surface presents with minor scattered pitting and nicks, not visually detractive. The lower rear edge where body meets base and outer edges of base with a few minor shallow indentations. Some oxidation and tarnish to copper surface of clock face, and areas of tarnish and polish residue in recessed areas of decorative bird elements on pewter surface. Scattered faint scratches, the largest area on the proper right side of the clock measuring 1 ½ x 1 inch, not visually detractive. Areas of minor scuffing concentrated around the knob and back door of clock, in keeping with age and gentle use. Minor brassing to the edge partially visible on the catalogue illustration. The underside of the clock presents with some scattered scratches and loss to pewter, not visible when clock is upright. A fine and monumental clock with whimsical bird detailing. Functionality of the movement is not guaranteed and it could need service at the buyer's discretion.
