Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the enamel presents with deeper and richer green than visible in the catalogue illustration. The pewter surface with very minor fine surface scratches, light scattered pitting and tarnishing consistent with age and gentle handling. The pewter frame surrounding the clock face with one shallow indentation, visible in the catalogue photography and not visually distracting. The recessed areas with some surface soiling concentrated to the numbers. The clock's roof and back side with some very minor signs of light pitting, as expected from age and natural evolution of the medium, but not visible unless closely inspected. Functionality of the movement is not guaranteed and it could need service at the buyer's discretion. A charming and finely detailed work in well-preserved condition.
