Overall in very good condition The wood appears to have been sensitively refinished at some point in the history of the piece and has been beautifully preserved, presenting with extremely minor surface nicks, discoloration and scratches, consistent with age and gentle use. Some areas of the wood surface appear slightly convex, not noticeable unless closely inspected. Some scuffing, mostly concentrated to the feet of the desk, only visible upon close examination. Some natural wood cracking present on the front of one drawer, consistent with the natural aging process of the wood material. The bronze drawer pulls display a rich patina. A magnificent example of Art Nouveau craftsmanship visible in the finely worked leaf elements carved on the edges of the desk. Please note: this lot is sold with 6 original keys.
