Condition

Overall in very good condition. The epoxy stone has been professionally cleaned and presents with a few occasional surface irregularities in the stone and faint color variations inherent in the material. The epoxy body with a few scattered minute metal particulate inclusions which have rusted scattered on back and sides and not visually distracting. The bronze elements have been professionally waxed to bring out the richness of the patina. When viewed firsthand, the bronze presents with a slightly warmer hue with occasional inflections of blue compared to the catalogue illustration. This variegation adds a nice level of complexity and dimension to the metal. The bronze is in very good condition with scattered surface scratches and abrasions, concentrated primarily to the feet and consistent with age and use. An iconic and charming model by Lalanne, this example is complementary with other Lalanne epoxy "Moutons" from this designation (lots 7 and 8) and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
