Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the inlay work is executed in warm tones of honey, amber, and chocolate brown wood. The wood appears to have been sensitively refinished at some point in the history of the piece and has been beautifully preserved, presenting with some extremely minor surface scratches and abrasions mostly concentrated on the top of the piece and only visible upon very close inspection. The wood with some very minor hairline cracks concentrated to the natural seams of the casework, visible on the top, consistent with age. The artful inlay depicts dragonflies in flight fluttering and is highly complementary to the fine carved work.
