Condition

Overall very good condition. The painted surfaces have been professionally enhanced at some point in the history of the piece consistent with the artist's original intent. The painted surfaces with scattered very minor surface scratches and minute losses to paint throughout, not visually distracting and consistent with age and gentle handling. The upper proper left side of the frame with a minor paint loss measuring approximately 4 inches, not visually distracting and not visible when the sconce is installed. The uppermost arm presents slight movement, stable. The lower white ball with a faint black pen mark measuring approximately 1 inch. The shades were also professionally reproduced to match the original design and are in excellent condition, with a few minute brown dots concentrated to one shade and only visible upon close inspection. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. A charming and dynamic design by Royere.
