Condition

Overall very good condition. The bronze with scattered extremely minor surface scratches and abrasions, consistent with age and gentle handling. The bronze surface with varying degrees of darkening to the patina particularly on the cabbage leaves. The patina has become rich and beautifully variegated with age. The edge of one cabbage leaf presents with nice pink and red hues in an area measuring approximately 3 x 1 in. The face presents with a bright golden surface. A charming and whimsical piece by Claude Lalanne in well-preserved condition.
