The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate.
This work is in very good condition. There are some short original tears in places to the newspaper. Very close inspection reveals a few hairline drying cracks to the white spots along the top edge and some light surface dirt in places to the white spots throughout. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light. There is some light wear and burnishing to the edges of the artist frame, which is in keeping with the artist's choice of an antique frame.
