Condition
Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer in the original. The catalogue illustration also fails to convey the iridescent nature of some of the butterflies. Condition: This work is in very good and original condition. There are some dust deposits in the bottom of the frame. Very close inspection reveals a faint scuff and some light handling marks to the lower right of the frame and a tiny loss on the extreme edge of the lower left of the frame. Further very close inspection reveals some superficial scuffs in isolated places to the glass of the frame. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.

Catalogue Note
