Condition

(i) : Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, affixed to the mount with transparent plastic supports and floating in its mount. The left edge is deckled. There are a few minor creases, notably to the lower left corner, and some scattered faint handling marks. The sheet is slightly light stained. This work is in overall very good condition. (ii) : Drawing: Executed on cream wove paper, laid down on the artist's mount, affixed to the mount with transparent plastic supports and floating in its mount. The left and lower edges are deckled and there is a small paper loss to the upper right corner, with associated small nicks. There is a tiny tear (approx. 0,4 cm long) to the lower part of the left edge. There are a few flattened creases in places, notably to the left of the man's head. There is a small area of discolouration towards the centre of the right edge, possibly foxing, and a small dot of glue remnant on the reverse of the lower right corner. The sheet is slightly light stained. Artist's mount: The edges are unevenly cut. There is some staining along the right edge and some flattened creases in places. This work is in overall good condition.
