Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, hinged to the mount in one point along the upper edge. Examination under UV light reveals no sign of retouching. There are some strips of paper from a previous mounting along the extreme edges of the verso. There are pinholes to the centre of the upper edge. The sheet is slightly undulating. There is some faint mount staining along the extreme edges. Colours appear to have slightly faded and there is minor paint shrinkage, notaly in the blue pigment. There are some scattered flecks of pigment loss, possibly original. There is a small area of slight discolouration (approx. 1 cm wide) in the red pigment to the right centre of the lower edge. This work is in overall good condition.
