Catalogue Note

The present lot was passed down through generations of the present owner’s family. The current owner received the watch from his father, a well-respected banking attorney, and went on to become an influential White House adviser to President Kennedy and Johnson as well as a respected author. His scholarly articles became the cornerstone for teaching microeconomics. He taught at MIT and later was the founding chairman of the public policy program at what is now the Harvard Kennedy school of business.
