Condition

Original canvas, undulates slightly. Faint horizontal stretcher bar mark. Faint signs of craquelure above central figure's head, around her elbow and in the dark area of the chair lower left. Small area of surface dirt to top of central figure's arm. Otherwise the work appears in good condition overall. Ultraviolet light reveals some small flecks of retouching to central figure's hair; in the dark area of the chair lower left and near lower left corner. Couple of small spots along right edge. Held in gilt plaster frame, ready to hang.
