Condition
This picture is unlined and in good condition. There are areas of craquelure, particularly noticeable on the girl's left cheek where there are also some areas of discolouration. The paint surface is dirty and would probably benefit from a light clean. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There may be some retouchings to the marble background but the opaque varnish makes a conclusive analysis very difficult. FRAME The picture is contained in a simple golden wooden frame and under glass.
