Condition

This picture has been lined - the lining is providing a stable support. The paint surface is dirty with some areas of bloom (particularly on the girl's face and hair) and would benefit from a light clean. There are localised areas of craquelure on the girl's head. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are infillings to the girl's head and small retouchings to the curtain around her head and in the lower right corner with a few small retouchings elsewhere. FRAME The picture is contained in a composite frame.
