FIRST EDITION, 4 volumes, 4to (305 x 239mm.), half-titles, engraved frontispiece, 93 engraved or lithographed plates, many coloured by hand, 4pp. directions to the bookbinder and errata leaf, contemporary diced calf gilt, scattered spotting, leaf F in volume 4 restored, a few tears and repairs, bindings repaired and slightly rubbed, volume 1-3 rebacked retaining original spine, volume 4 with joints starting
