  • Album of photographs of Shangai. [China, c.1900-02]
Oblong folio (267 x 340mm.), 109 photographs, mostly gelatine silver prints (from 70 x 40mm., to 218 x 284mm.), mounted on card, recto and verso, some captioned in manuscript in French, contemporary Japanese lacquer boards gilt, upper cover showing a woman and man in front of mount Fuji, a few photographs slightly faded, spine disintegrated (contents and boards loose), binding with small parts removed (faces and hands of the figures), scratched
