5-plate panorama, albumen prints (186 x 252), each mounted on card, joined with linen to form a folding panorama (186 x 1260mm.), original black cloth, covers lettered in gilt, photographer's printed label pasted on inside lower cover, minor wear to surface and edges of prints

A RARE PANORAMA OF YEKATERINBURG. Metenkov (1857-1933) was an important documentary photographer of the Urals. He settled in Yekaterinburg in 1883, and the house where he last lived and worked is now a museum of photography.
