Condition

These chromogenic prints, flush-mounted to a thin aluminum support, are in generally very good condition. Specific condition notes are as follows: Doublannage (Portrait A) (Man with head on plate of vegetables): There are several linear graphite marks visible at the extreme edges and scattered deposits of retouching. There is a faint crescent-shaped crease in the upper center visible under very close inspection. Doublannage (Portrait D) (Man with a golden head): Upon very close inspection, there is a nearly imperceptible cut in the paper running parallel to the upper edge, perhaps a strip of paper mounted separately from the rest of the composition. Attendant tacky adhesive can be seen in this area along the upper left edge. There are two faint horizontal impressions running the length of the print in the lower 1/3 of the composition. There are scattered deposits of retouching and tiny white adhesions in the lower left corner, possibly foxing. The afformentioned are primarily only visible when viewing the prints unframed and do not affect the overall fine appearance.
