Condition

Overall good condition. The gilt bronze with scattered surface scratches, abrasions, wear to the gilding, and some pitting consistent with age and use. The enamel in very good condition with scattered minor surface irregularities, inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The enamel on the lid of the inkstand with a smaller hairline crack and associated small loss to the white border encircling the gilt square in the center. The blotter ends with some minor bending. The handle of rocker blotter is slightly loose but stable. The larger inkstand with some scattered ink stains and concentrated stains and discolorations on the inside of the lid. The small inkstand with a period clear glass commercial inkwell liner in good condition. The larger inkstand with a rare period Tiffany decorated favrile glass liner with ink stains concentrated to the interior.
