Condition

Overall very good condition. When viewed firsthand the shade displays a vibrant green-yellow hue which is slightly lighter and generally livelier compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade displays an artistic gradation from more saturated green at the top of the shade to cool blue-white at the bottom border. The shade with fewer than 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The patinated bronze base presents with a particularly rich brown and green patina, displaying very fine casting and beautifully chased detailing. The bronze surfaces throughout with some light surface soiling and oxidation to the recessed contours of the design. With some scattered extremely minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze with a few scattered minute casting flaws, inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The outer edge of the foot with some very minor wear to the patina. All sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With a period “Spider” finial with threaded pin in very good condition. A superb example of the model displaying an exceptionally strong and artistic glass selection and vibrant coloration.
