Condition

Overall in very good age-appropriate condition. The surfaces overall present with scattered lifting and losses to the paint and some oxidation throughout, consistent with age and outdoor use, the largest loss overall located to the horse's head on one balustrade measuring approximately 1 x 1 ½ in. One balustrade with two and the other with three of the baseplates sawed off during removal, where the rails would have been screwed into the newel post. Each balustrade has likely been repatinated at some stage in their history. Overall a creative motif, originally designed to flank the front steps of Molesworth's historic "Old Lodge" commission.
