Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood surfaces with faint and scattered scuffs, scratches, dents, minor areas of rubbing and discoloration, all consistent with age and gentle handling. There are natural knots, irregularities and separations in the wood grain, typical for Inland fir, and this has been reinforced with wood infill in areas by Molesworth at the time of production (the longest measuring approximately 8 in). Four of these areas with some losses to inlay, the largest loss measuring approximately ¾ x 1/8 in. The shade is contemporary and presents with some minor surface scratches, not visually distracting. The metal elements with some minor wear, rubbing, and wear to the paint, consistent with age and use. This well proportioned example displays an interesting grain of fir in conjunction with large knotty burls.
