Catalogue Note

This volume, part of the Economics Classics series, reprints sections from the first and second editions of Principle of population so that they may be compared. Some indication of the extent to which Malthus expanded the work between these two editions can be had from the fact that this reprints about one third of the first edition and only one twentieth of the second.
