Catalogue Note

Trigonometria is here found without an engraved portrait of Bramer by Eberhard Kieser, lettered “AEt: Sua 27. Anno 1615”. Although not called for in the VD17 entry, the portrait occurs in the Honeyman copy (offered in these rooms, 30-31 October 1978, lot 496), and in a copy in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (digitised). Two other digitised copies (ETH-Bibliothek Zürich and Österreichische Nationalbibliothek) lack the portrait.
