Catalogue Note

FIRST EDITION of Sfortunati's treatise on commercial arithmetic, which was reprinted in Venice several times in the 1540s and 1560s. Sfortunati, from Siena, based his work on that of Pacioli, Borghi and Calandri, who are all named in his introduction.
