A history of mathematical and drawing instruments since the Renaissance by the Master of the Royal Mathematical School at Christ's Hospital in London. The folding frontispiece depicts a case of instruments made by Thomas Heath, who together with the booksellers J. Hodges and J. Fuller had sponsored publication of the volume.
