Manuscript on paper, written in brown ink on up to twenty lines per page, with tables and diagrams, the text divided into seven Livres ("Des Logarithmes"; "De la Trigonométrie Rectiligne"; "Des instrumens [...Du compas de proportion]"; "De la construction des figures"; "De la longimétrie ou mesure des Lignes"; "De la Planimétrie ou manière de mesurer les surfaces"; "De la Stéréométrie ou manière de mesurer des Solides")  

4to (c.245 x 175mm), 240 pages, grapes watermark lettered "Dupu[y]" (cf. Heawood 2426-2432), 27 plates on folding sheets, many in colour, contemporary brown polished calf, spine elaborately gilt in compartments, small tear to front cover
