Catalogue Note

A new edition of Lefèvre's Epitome of Boethius, edited and illustrated with diagrams by the mathematician Johannes Scheubel. Morsing (c.1485-1560) had studied in Louvain before becoming professor at the University of Copenhagen. His introduction to arithmetic was first published in Cologne in 1528.
