Catalogue Note

This treatise deals with the geometrical principles used in the construction of buildings and military fortifications. “The majority of the work deals with commonly encountered survey problems: finding heights of towers, areas of land, etc. The work is notable for the use of a mirror in dealing with some of the more difficult problems” (Tomash & Williams).
