Catalogue Note

Apparently the third edition of this arithmetic textbook by Johannes Fischer, a popular work which passed through at least twelve editions The presumed first and second editions were printed at Wittenberg by Georg Rhau in 1545 (not in VD16; copy sold by Galerie Bassenge, 17 April 2018, lot 1060, €8,000) and at Leipzig by Jakob Bärwald in 1549 (VD16 ZV 16540; USTC 612997, two copies located).
