Each of the three sets comprising a pair of cufflinks and three studs, the emerald set with an additional stud, alternately set with cabochon rubies, sapphires and emeralds, within pavé-set frames of rose-cut diamonds, the studs with maker's marks for Fred Leighton, one small diamond missing.

Condition

In very good condition, with little surface wear to the mountings. One of the ruby studs with a small missing diamond. The studs all stamps PT900 for platinum and 750 for 18 karat gold. One ruby cufflink numbered 2, two ruby studs numbered 5, one ruby stud numbered 6, one sapphire cufflink numbered 3, one sapphire cufflink numbered 4, two sapphire studs numbered 1, one sapphire stud numbered 2, two emerald cufflinks numbered 5, the four emerald studs numbered 3. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.75 carats, are bright and lively. The cabochon rubies are translucent medium strongly purplish red. The emeralds are semi-transparent strongly saturated green. The sapphires are a transparent medium blue, slightly included. All with good polish. The diameter of each cufflink face is approximately ½ inch. The diameter of each stud face is approximately ⅜ inch. Total gross weight approximately 26 dwts.
