The octagonal case and bracelet set with carved amethyst, the bezel set with single-cut diamonds, the bracelet lined with seed pearls, mechanical movement, length 6 inches, the caseback signed 'Made by Verger, Paris, for Feagans & Company Los Angeles', the caseback interior signed Verger, France, numbered 6440, with French assay and maker's marks; circa 1915.

Condition

In good condition especially given the age of this piece, with surface scratches to the mounting commensurate with age and wear. Movement signed Verger, France. French assay marks for platinum. The diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 0.40 carats are bright and lively. The seed pearls on average measuring approximately 2.1 mm, of ivory body color with good skin and luster. The carved amethysts are of medium light violetish purple color, with a frosted finish, some segments with chips and abrasions visible under 10x magnification; backed by the platinum wristband, a couple segments with light evidence of yellowing adhesive; the sides of some segments engraved with Roman numerals, the amethyst on the dial carved with two figures, the amethysts on the bracelet engraved with a floral design. Clasp closes securely and is fitted with a safety closure. Length approximately 6 inches. Please note the Important Notice Regarding Watches on page 164 of the printed catalogue.
