Condition

The board is very slightly bowed in the centre but is offering a good stable support. There are artist pinholes to all four corners and to the centre of each edge. There are specks of surface dirt throughout and the work may benefit from a light clean. The work retains strong impasto and is in good original condition. UV light inspection reveals no evidence of retouching or restoration. Held in the original gilt frame.
