Oil on canvas, unlined. The picture surface is clean and fresh, with vibrant colors. Some minor discolored varnish is visible on the picture surface. Minor scuff marks visible at the extreme edges, though mainly not visible in the current framing. Under UV light, the majority of the picture is obscured by a green-fluorescing varnish, though this varnish has been cleaned from the lighter pigments. There are minor dots and dashes of retouching visible in the figure's proper left calf and a 1 inch area of retouching in her proper left shoulder. Minor dashes and scattered retouches are also visible around the figure's proper right eye; the right side and tip of her nose; and the lower right side of her cheek.
