Condition

Generally good condition overall: near original 1/5 inch soft lustrous pile overall with very minor scattered areas of moth damage in field, areas of upper end and borders with old repiled moth damage, repiling having now faded to lighter than original color so quite visible, very small scattered areas of wear in central medallion, approximately 2 x 2 inches each; edges with some fraying to overcasting, remnants of original selvages intact; losses to outer end borders, with cloth banding sewn on reverse, now with some fraying; very supple handle and sound fabric; unusual and striking abrash (color changes through the field.)
