Condition

Oil on canvas, lined. The surface is in generally good condition aside from surface dirt throughout; flatness from the relining; and some discolored retouches in the sky. Otherwise, the surface appears clean and fresh. Under UV light, brushy retouches are visible throughout the sky. Larger areas of older retouches are visible, including an 8 inch horizontal line in the tree at left (visible to the naked eye) and in the mountain valley to the left. There are darker, likely newer retouches visible along the left edge of the river; in the trees above it; and in the white flowering tree to the right of the river. There is an area of retouching approximately 6 inches long at lower left and a few additional brushy areas of retouching in the mountains at left. Framed and ready to hang.
