Condition

In overall very good condition with minor surface dirt and a few minor scratches consistent with age and handling. There are a few fine hairline fissures consistent with the material. The inside and underside of the box are darker due a lack of light exposure. The centre of the underside with a circular piece of ivory carved separately and the centre of the lid as well, probably where the unusable centre of the tusk was.
