original canvas; a few little retouches scattered across the surface; a few thin wear in some areas, especially on the trousers; in some other places the layer of paint is thin (probably willingly), especially in the trees; irregular drips of varnish visible, of which some fluoresce under UV light; very good condition

Catalogue Note
Marcel Laffon (1897-1976), banker as was his father, is represented in front of his mansion in Neuilly, sitting on one of the chairs from Boutet de Monvel's dining room and leaning on a tripod also belonging to the painter.
