original canvas signed and dated at the back: Borsato F. l'anno 1829 ; no traces of restoration are visible under UV light, except for a long strap along the upper edge and a little repainted area along the right edge ; under natural light one can see a thin network of craquelures, especially in the sky (not very visible) ; it is possible that some of the craquelures have been filled in but this is not visible under UV light; the catalogue picture is slightly brighter; good condition overall
