Catalogue Note
Tuprin de Crissé travels to Italy several times and goes at least twice to Florence, in 1807 and 1818. He sketches numerous studies in situ that he will later use to paint refined and detailed compositions. We would like to thank Madame Caroline Chaine for kindly confirming the authenticity of this work.
