Description

  • The largest: 14.3 cm, 5 5/8  in.
comprising a disc carved in openwork with coiling chilong, the stone of a pale celadon tone with calcified inclusions; a calcified celadon disc carved with taotie patterns and pierced in the centre

Collection of Richard Drew (1938-2017).

Condition

Both plaques in general good condition with the exception of minute nibbles to the extremities. The chilong disc with a small protruding section possibly polished between two larger chilong's. Both are slightly more celadon in colour than illustrated in the catalogue.
