Description

  • The larger: 8 cm, 3 1/8  in.
comprising: a small reticulated chilong plaque; a round 'bats and lotus' 'xi' plaque

Collection of Richard Drew (1938-2017).

Condition

The larger plaque in general good condition with the exception of minute nicks to the extremities and some shallow ones to the back, also with a pair of small apertures at the top and bottom to thread a string, and with some natural inclusions and fissure in the stone. The chilong plaque with some minor losses at the end of the tails and some nibbles to the extremities, otherwise in good condition. Both are slightly more celadon in colour than that illustrated in the catalogue.
