Description

  • 20.5 cm, 8 1/8  in.
the rounded sides rising from a splayed foot, the exterior decorated in repoussé with alternating panels of figures in a courtyard, gnarled branches of blossoming prunus, long stems of bamboo, writhing dragons surrounding a central pearl left blank, the base stamped with HM 90 Qiuji, with an internal layer

Condition

This bowl and inner layer are in general good condition, with the exception of a small hole to the bottom left corner of one dragon panel, and two further tiny ones at the corner of another panel. With minor scratches and wear (more apparent to the inner layer), consistent with age and usage.
