Description

  • 19.7 cm, 7 3/4  in.
each with widely flared sides painted to the exterior with four horses in a continuous landscape below weeping willows, with four further horses to the interior under pine trees and weeping willows

Provenance

A private Northumberland collection, acquired in the 1960s to early 1970s.

Condition

Both bowls are in good condition with the exception of very minor fritting to the rim, tiny chips to the foot rim and some slight surface scratches for both. Minor firing imperfections include some gritting to the interior, burst bubbles and iron spots in various areas for both.
