deftly carved in the liuqing technique with two scholars leisurely lying beneath a large overhanging pine branch issuing from craggy rockwork, the upper section inscribed with a poetic inscription and signed Yun Gu, lightly carved through the paler ochre skin to the warm honey-brown body beneath
