the flattened body rising from a short splayed foot to a flared neck and galleried rim, flanked by kuilong handles, carved to one side with a blossoming peony sprig beneath a magnolia shrub, the reverse with an inscription reading bingxin zai yuhu (pure and noble as the jade vase) and zhenshang (highly appreciated), the stone of an even pale celadon tone
