  • 21 cm, 8 1/4  in.
the globular body rising from a flat base to a rolled rim, cast in high-relief with a band of writhing five-clawed dragons pursuing 'flaming pearls' at the rim and at the foot, the base with an apocryphal six-character Xuande mark within a recessed rectangle

Collection of Gustav Detring (1842-1913) and/or Constantin von Hanneken (1854-1925), and thence by descent.

Condition

this is in overall good condition, with exception of some casting flaws to the interior, some surface scratches and wear throughout in consistent with its age and use.
