Created to inform the print, radio, and television news media on details of the Apollo Command and Service Module (CSM) which is easily readable by the general public.

The news reference is comprised of five distinct parts starting with the first gray tabbed section providing general information on the spacecraft vehicles and their missions, post Apollo programs, and the Moon. The second part with yellow tabs gives very detailed descriptions of the Apollo modules. The third part having red tabs contains descriptions of vehicle equipment and operations of major systems.
